Pastor Troy Bennett found Christ at a young age and has dedicated his life to building the next generation of Christians through discipleship. Felicity Bennett, who grew up in a Christian home, devoted herself to Christ as a teenager, and her faith has flourished ever since.
Right after high school, Troy began his ministry journey by moving hours away from home to lead worship at New Covenant Church of God in Peoria, Illinois. It was there in 2018 that he met Felicity, and they committed to doing ministry together.
In 2019, Troy felt called to Houston, Texas, and Felicity soon followed. They were married in June 2020. Felicity, who holds a degree in elementary education, played a key role in creating and leading successful youth, children’s, and nursery ministries at Forum Church.
In 2021, Troy and Felicity felt the call to return to Illinois to take a position as student pastors at Passion Community Church, a rapidly growing congregation. They focused on allowing teens to experience childhood in a world that often pressures them into early adulthood, while also preparing them to discover and embrace God’s calling in their lives.
Soon after, Troy felt God calling him to a lead pastor position, burdened with a vision for the church as a whole. In 2023, Troy and Felicity were called to Harrisburg First Church of God, where Troy serves as the senior pastor. His heart is set on returning to the early church model, with a strong emphasis on discipleship and raising up the next generation of leaders and pastors. Together, Troy and Felicity are committed to nurturing a vibrant, Christ-centered community and empowering individuals to grow in their faith.
